Kalyvia is our reunion place every 6 months where we are welcomed, served good real home made Greek food at a reasonable price. The patio is our favourite spot to enjoy Toronto's Greektown. Our food selection is usually from the appetizers where we have sampled all of them and they are all tasty and plentiful.
We have been doing this since 1995 and have always left satisfied validated by booking our next reunion date..
We have been coming to Kalyvia for over 15 years, since they had a tiny restaurant in half of their current space.
Generous portions, meat is always tender and perfecty cooked. We love the house salad dressing. Fair prices as well.

The best Greek food on the Danforth, it reminds me of the good old days on the danforth, when food was of quality. The food is excellent, amazing fried calamari and the Greek salad is very tasty. I really love this place. If it got a facelift, I am sure this would be the most popular resturant on the danforth.
The best Greek food in Greektown! Very tasty meat and seafood dishes. The souvlaki is the most delicious I've tried anywhere. We've been coming here for over 15 years and we will continue to make it a special night out. The service is always attentive. Excellent value!

Kalyvia is one those hidden gem restaurants on the Danforth. We had a great evening with our friends as we order a variety to share among the six of us. The place and atmosphere are great and cozy to enjoy during a gorgeous summer night. We had the combination dip plate with salads, grilled octopus and fried calamari followed by a a bunch of souvlaki on stick and lamb chops with greek fries. All the with a bottle of Retsina wine, it was a real delight.

Got sick after dinner. Also did two other people in my party. Went for my bday. Server was not experienced at all. Was very disappointed. Ac was not on and it was a very hot day. Had my baby there and was worried of her over heating. Will be a while before I go back there.

Lily was our server - she did a terrific job - recommended the Greek salad (Elliniki) with Gyro - 3 people in our group took Lily up on the recommendation - only one person really liked this meal - the other 2 felt the Gyro was too dry and salty but the salad was good. Petra was not serving - we really like her bubbly personality and beautiful smile - hopefully next time Petra will be working!!
The Tsafatinos family has been serving authentic food mimicking dishes from their village Kalyvia back home. In the mood for soulvaki or how about trying a Greek pizza? Yes, they exist here.
