See a Winter Light Display

During Snow Much Fun (which runs late November-early January), hundreds of thousands of colorful LED lights illuminate Boulder’s Civic Area, next to the Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art, and throughout downtown Boulder, including all along historic Pearl Street. It's all free to enjoy on foot! This year you can explore through a new lens as you adventure through a self-guided AR tour of the district.

Go for a Winter Hike

The hush that comes over Boulder's foothills in winter is something to behold. In fact, for many locals, it's secretly our favorite time to hike. Put on your boots, a few warm layers that can be shed (you might warm up fast here in famously sunny Boulder) and head out for some winter wonder. There are plenty of winter hikes to try.
